In Greene County district court Emily Ann Chiafos, 33, of Jefferson was sentenced Feb. 4 to 30 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The jail time was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. Chiafos was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. She must pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees not to exceed $500. Court costs were $100. A charge in magistrate court of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. Matthew James Spaulding, 29, of Perry pleaded not guilty to a charge of burglary- second degree. A trial date was sentenced for April 6.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Kim M. Mentolaroc, 29, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated; and Shon Renae Blake, 56, of Jefferson, assault while displaying dangerous weapon.
